Theodore A. Weisgerber
Theodore "Ted" Weisgerber, 89, passed away on March 10, 2018 at his home in Rio Rancho, NM following a battle with cancer.
Ted was born in Collier, KS. He married his beautiful wife, Nina, on September 25, 1950. They were married 64 years. Ted moved to Los Alamos in 1956 to work for the Department of Energy, where he was employed for 35 years. Ted was President of the local AFGE union for 10 years, and also served as President of the Los Alamos Federal Employee Credit Union in the late 1960s. He was an excellent marksman and won numerous state and national trophies. He was also a member of the first SWAT team in Los Alamos.
Ted is survived by his daughter, Kathy Crocco and her husband, Doug, of Tavares, FL; his son, Scott Weisgerber and wife, Chiharu, of Albuquerque; and three grandchildren, Doug Crocco Jr., Alicia Crocco, and Kenneth Weisgerber. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina in 2014 and his son, Terry Weisgerber in 2002.
A Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM 87501 at 1:30 p.m.
