Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Colorado for James Martin Haack, 75, who passed away on December 28, 2017 at St. Joseph Carpenter House. Mr. Haack, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late Martin Haack and Lillian Leckband Kaas. James worked in the oilfield industry for 45 years and worked his way up from roustabout to superintendent. In his youth, he was a scratch golfer. He also enjoyed cooking and socializing with friends and family. James had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. He loved his grandchildren and will be missed deeply. He is survived by his children, Keith Haack and wife Candice, James Haack and wife Tonya, and Alesia L. Franklin; grandchildren, Shae Whittle, Stella Haack, Caleb Haack, Aidan Haack, Ella Haack, Lainee Haack; grandcat, Snuggs; sisters, Yula Mae Meyers, and Sandra Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Haack; and sister, Bonnie Stofferan. The family would like to thank all of Mr. Haack's caregivers and dear friends, especially the Richard Babb family for all of their love and support.
