She was born on January 16, 1960 to Norman and Deanna (Landry) Porche. Karen grew up in Jeanerette, LA and graduated in 1978. After high school she married her high school sweet-heart Boyd Mouret, Jr. They would have celebrated 39 years of marriage on August 26, 2017, and during this time Karen was a devoted mother and wife. She was recently blessed to be a brand new grand-mother. Her passions were cooking and baking, especially during the holidays. She was the "praline" and "pecan pie" queen. Decorating and preparing for Christmas gave her immense joy. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Peaceful rides in the evening hours and shopping for her collectibles and groceries filled many of her days. Her pets were also a big part of her life, especially her birds, which she claimed gave her inner peace. She lived for her children and will be sorely missed by all. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Norman Porche and brother Steve Porche. She is survived by spouse, Boyd Jr. of Jeanerette, LA; sons, Boyd Mouret III (fiancee', Lindsay), and Jared Mouret of Jeanerette; grandchild (Emmie Lynn), sister Susan (husband, Eric) Buteau, sister Witty Porche, brother Norman Jr. (wife, Deneen) Porche, brother Schuyler Porche (fiancee', Donna), sister Angie Porche and sister Cathleen Freeman (fiancee', Tommy) and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers are Bo Mouret, Jared Mouret, Norman Porche, Schuyler Porcher, Ted Derise and Tommy Frederick.
