I first met Candace at a guitar class and then took private guitar lessons for 4+ years following that. My son Chase also took guitar lessons and adored his "Ms. Brown" immensely. She taught him not only amazing guitar techniques but life lessons in sports, common sense and humanity. I will always be grateful for her influence on him. She was so much more to me than my guitar teacher. I loved our talks that went way beyond the lesson hour, the funny texts and the emotional support she offered me during times when I needed it the most. I think we just understood each other! We both had such a mutual love/obsession (ha) over sports and music. It was fun having that in common with her. Seeing her get so ill broke my heart as I'm sure it did so for all that knew and loved her. She truly LIVED her life and did what made her happy. I admired that about her and strive to follow her example. So, as for the impact she made on me...well, there's not enough space on here to write it all down. In my life there are only a handful of people that have made a tremendous impact on my soul. Candace was a part of that handful. I think of her so often and am incredibly grateful to have met her and been lucky enough to be her friend. I will miss her forever. Love you sweet lady. Hope you are singing and shredding that guitar like I know you can. My deepest condolences to all her family.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead, and loving memories to forever hold in your hands. May God continue to comfort your family (Psalm 9:9,10).

Candace was a wonderful person and I am so sorry for her loss - way too young.

I took many exercise classes from her and was very sorry when she no longer taught them for seniors due to cutbacks in college funding. They were the best and most fun classes ever?

She also gave my daughter guitar lessons one summer and was great at that too.

My sincere condolences to all who loved her.

We were neighbors for about 10 years. My kids adore her mom, Granny, and think of her often. Our condolences to Granny on her loss.
