Diehard, 66, passed away on June 13, 2016. Diehard lived an eventful life and in his later years lived his life carefree. He served his country as a Marine and Vietnam Veteran and retired in 1978 from the Marine Corps.
He then chose a career with the United States Forest Service until he retired in 2005. Also in that time, from 1982-2000, he was part of a Biker family and was an awesome tattoo artist for 30 years. He was full of knowledge and experience and always had something to teach everyone he met. Diehard was artistic and loved music and books. He would say that the life he lived was "Too much fun, For Sure, For Sure".
Diehard is now reunited with his mother, Helen and his father, Luis in heaven.
He leaves behind his wife of 17 years, Becky "Gem", along with his 3 children, Venitia, Helena, and Harley, his 4 step children, Eddie, Abe, Jessica, Stacey, his 15 grandchildren and his 1 great grandchild and one more on the way, and many good friends.
He was always fun to be around even if he was not feeling good. He would still find a way to humor everyone and let us know that he cares. He will be deeply missed.
The burial will be held at 10 a.m., on June 24, 2016, at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, TX. 5200 Fred Wilson Avenue, Fort Bliss, TX 79906.
Due to other scheduled services, it has been requested to arrive no earlier than 9:45 a.m. We will meet at the West Shelter parking area until services at 10 a.m. The memorial service is pending and will occur in July.
The family is grateful for all of the support and kind words.

So sad for your loss Gem. One of the best has gone to a place with no more pain. I know he must be riding free again with brothers who went ahead. God Bless.

I'm so sorry to hear of Diehard's passing. I have fond memories of him when we worked together at the Lincoln National Forest Supervisor's Office. And me and my niece have some really nice tattoos from him. May he rest in peace.

To our dear friend Becky "Gem" and the entire Moreno family our deepest condolences. Diehard will forever be missed yet also forever remembered as one of the best men to walk the face of this earth. His image was like *no* other and that's what stood out about him but those that got to know him knew a totally different Die, the one who would take the shirt off his back for those in need. A man who had a heart of GOLD. Die was a great provider, friend and overall man, those are far few and rare nowadays. He was so great to our girls and left them with fond memories of him. During his time on earth he seemed to have lived a great life that made him happy, we were blessed to be included in some of those great times with him during our poker days, recent 4th of July times together near the spacehall. In recent years it was extremely hard for us to see him in pain so I prayed for him often and I asked God for healing on Die, he shouldn't have to suffer so much while in this temporary world. Only God knows why our great friend Die had to suffer so much on earth but I'm happy knowing he's rejoicing in the presence of our heavenly father in a painfree world. You'll forever live in our hearts Die. There is so much more to be said about this man but I need not go on for if you met this man you know exactly what I'm talking about. Again, our deepest condolences to all those that had the pleasure of knowing him.

I once loved him dearly! And it saddens me that he has left this world! He was always in a good mood and his charisma was as catching as his smile/laugh. I am grateful for the time I spent with him! And that he found a great love! Thank you DieHard you will always have a special place in my heart!❤

Diehard was a customer at The Daily Dose Cafe at Holloman, and each time he came in he would pay for extra drinks to give to young Airmen. He chose to remain anonymous each time he did this, and his generousity was greatly appreciated by the recipients. Our thoughts go out to his family.
