Edward Macias Malone, 84, died peacefully on June 30, 2018 in Annapolis, Maryland.
Ed was a loving father and husband, a proud veteran, an unwavering optimist, a skilled dancer, and a true western horseman. He was guided throughout his military career in service to his country and others, first in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, then for more than 30 years in the New Mexico National Guard, and finally as a civil servant at Holloman Air Force Base.
In his second career, Ed was a much-loved dormitory parent for 15 years to young residents at the New Mexico School for the Visually Impaired in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
Ed was the son of Cornelius and Maria Macias Malone. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Frances G. Malone; by his 3 sons - Edward Malone and his wife Teri; David Malone and his husband David Wham, and their son George Edward Malone Wham; and Paul Malone and his partner Dalton Hasegawa.
Memorial donations in memory of Ed can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016 (www.kidney.org/donation) Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.

i am so sorry for your loss of Mr Ed I had the pleasure of working with him at the school for the Blind and enjoyed every minute of it. He was wonderful with the kids and also a great dancer when it came to the school Dances. Rest in peace my friend.
