"Dickie" Danny Richard Sanchez, 62, from Las Cruces, N.M., passed away in Phoenix on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016. Dickie was born on Sept. 14, 1953, in Tularosa, N.M.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents Tony and Lucy Sanchez and his brothers Eddie and Louie Sanchez.
Dickie is survived by his high school sweet heart and wife of 42 years Donna, their two children Deanna (Angelo) and Danny (Lauron); his loving grandchildren, Christian and Victoria Herrera, Landon and expecting baby Jaxon Sanchez; his siblings, Tony (Carolyn), Alfonso (Carmen), Andy (April), and Anna (Bill) Henley; his father-in-law, Bill Lawrence, his brother-in-laws, Tom (Karen) and Fred (Becky) Lawrence, his sister-in-law, Julie (Marshall) Griffith, his dog and little baby, Bella; numerous extended family and friends.
Dickie was in the United States Army for 10 years. He retired in 2005 after 23 years from White Sands Missile Range.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 1 p.m., at the Tularosa Community Center located at 1050 Bookout Rd., Tularosa, NM 88352.

Donna,
I am so shocked to hear of Danny passing. I remember the fun time we had going boating and Mike got his truck stuck and Danny help to get him out. Boy the kids sure had lots of fun. We have fond memories of him. He was always a breather of fresh air. We pray for you and your family. We will always keep you all close to our hearts.
