Mr. Hammond was such an incredible man and teacher. I am now 52, and I still have the most fond memories of him. He always made time for his students and truly cared about each of them. Rest in Peace, Mr. Hammond.

Mr. Hammond was one of the most respected and dedicated High School teachers at Alamogordo High School. He was a role model for all of us that wanted to be a teacher. Mr. Hammond's teaching went beyond the classroom caring about us as people and citizens of the community. He will be missed.
Condolences from the

Mr. Hammond was one of my favorite teachers at Alamo High. I doubled up on his classes, taking both anatomy/physiology and biology classes. His passion for teaching is what helped fuel my love for science. He was a shiny example of how educators can make learning a fun and meaningful experience.

I remember one fun classroom incident where my friend Mike Goudy and I brought in a kangaroo rat for a classroom demo, and well... he escaped and ran around the classroom... the girls freaked out, caused a lot of excitement and I managed to safely recapture the little guy and get him released outside.

You made a big difference in my life. Thank you for all you did for me and may God bless you, sir. You will be deeply missed.
