I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. Please find peace and comfort in Psalms 119:76.

To the family of John Lewis we express our heartfelt condolences for the loss of your beloved John. We know how much he meant to all of you and how you cherish and celebrate the memories of a life well-lived.
During my tenure at the Sheriff's Department John was very supportive in my career. One of his favorite Spanish sayings that he would recite to me, that I'll will never forget, and reminded me when things got a little rough, was "Eddie, No tengas miedo" (Eddie, Don't be afraid). In other words, keep faith and trust in God.
John was a true "Cowboy" who worked ranches, horses, and all the related events that had him many times alone in his work where he was under the watchful eye of Heavenly Angels. So it was with his work in law enforcement, where at times those Angels came to his assistance when he found himself in dire need.
So, when his earthly time was coming to an end I am sure apprehension may have entered into his mind, but as soon as he reassured himself, John, No tengas miedo he had faith and trusted God of rewarding him with a heavenly pasture where he would be united with his lovely Lynne.
John will be missed, but we will not be afraid, as we will see him one day in Cowboy Heaven.

God Bless you all.

I didn't know John real well. I was around him mainly whenever there were horses or rodeos. But I knew him well enough to know he loved his family. It showed in his actions and his words, and it shows in the family he raised. He did more than just raise them, he taught them what running a ranch is about and what hard work is. He also had a good sense of humor and made me laugh more than once.
He will be remembered respectfully and fondly. I like to think of him during the rodeos when he would ride in to join the Sheriff Posse. Those were good days.
Rod & I would like to express our condolences to all the members of the Lewis family. Tia, love you girl.

I will remember you Johnny as my favorite of great men. You touched my heart with your love, compassion, humor, and Everything I look for in a Real man today. You gave me this insight when I was but a little girl. RIP now with your Beautiful wife Lynn. Continue to wrap your love around those who love you still.
