Michael leaves in this world his son Michael W. Walker Jr.; mother Dora Jones Walker; brothers John and Keron (Bannerman) Walker and R. Michael lost his battle with lung cancer, but he put up a good fight. He will be missed by the many friends for whom he cared deeply. Some of Michael's best years were spent working off-shore in Louisiana. He was a journeyman electrician and jack-of-all-trades, a real 'go-to' person, having many memories of jobs he held in Florida, the southeast, and years in Alamogordo, N.M.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the local hospice care, 1859 Indian Wells Rd. (575) 437-3500. What a great group of people!

Mike was one of the strongest most caring people I have ever had the honor of knowing and calling my friend. He helped me through the worst of times and was there to help me celebrate the good. I will miss him forever.
He served this country in the US Army and then greatly as a civilian to help those that no one else would. Thank you for being mike. I love you and I love your family.
To Dora, your strength is amazing. I see where mike got it from. Lots of love.
