My memories of Carl go back many years. Carl was a very special family friend. He and my older brother (Fred Moore) were great friends from their youth. They worked together at the Piggly Wiggly on New York. They would come into the Mity Nice Bakery (my parents owned) where I waited tables for their coffee breaks. They would order a 'CUP OF MUD". Just shows what a wonderful sense of humor Carl (and Fred) had. The two became related by Fred marrying Carl's cousin, Pauline Peterson. Carl married one of my best friends, Merry Dell Pilgreen. They are a very special and lovely couple. Carl always had a gentle loving spirit, caring deeply about people. I know he rejoiced at the fact that I now have a very dear husband (almost 50 years now) after going through some troubled times.
We always tried to see Carl and Merry Dell whenever we were visiting back in Alamogordo. We enjoyed getting together with them, either in their home, or at Bill and Normal Hullett's home, or sometimes in a restaurant. The world would be a better place if there were more people like Carl Wade. We will always treasure the friendship we shared. God bless the lovely family. From French and Shirley Crook

Carl was always happy to see you, loved to sit and visit. I will miss seeing him walking around the streets by his house. I know he is walking in heaven smiling and waving to all as he walks by. ( I hope he gets to put in a good word for the Cowboys this year to the Big guy ) Love to his sweet family
