Dorothy Moore, 75, of Amarillo, died Friday, September 7, 2018. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Dr. with Rev. Glen Walton officiating. Dorothy was born January 30, 1943 in Mineola to Henry and Gertrude Willingham. She married Daylon Moore on September 17, 1964 in Amarillo. Dorothy dedicated her life to her family. She took care of all her grandchildren while their parents worked. She adored her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed baking and was a longtime member of East Amarillo Church of Christ. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daylon Moore; a daughter, Regina Kay Scaggs; a son-in-law, John Perry; three sisters; and four brothers. Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Perry of Amarillo; her son, Michael Moore and wife Lu of Florida; two sisters, Marie Hollingsworth of Mineola, and Ruth Womack of Galena, KS; six grandchildren, Derek Moore, Sean Perry, Amber Kay Scaggs, Jake Moore, Roman Moore, and Johnny Moore; and six great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Country Club Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care of Dorothy. The family suggests memorials may be made to Advo Companies, Inc., 5241 S.
