Johnson, Clifton "Clif" William 11/23/1955 - 4/18/2021 Age 65, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family, and was carried to his heavenly home by his guardian angels early Sunday morning, April 18, 2021. Clif was a man of great faith in the Lord and fought a courageous 10-year battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He was born in Battle Creek, MI, and graduated in 1974 from Harper Creek High School. He met the love of his life, Julie, while working at Kellogg's and they married on June 30th,1979. They moved to Ann Arbor in 1981, where Clif finished his studies and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1983. He was proud to be a Michigan man. He was employed for over 30 years by Johnson System in Marshall, MI (acquired by GSI in 2013), and retired in 2018. Clif was a servant leader, teacher and mentor who carried the Father's heart and led others with gentleness and kindness. He was a pillar of strength to friends and family alike, who guided and encouraged many with extraordinary wisdom, discernment and wit. Clif cultivated many lifelong friendships who supported him and loved him through his journey, including those at the Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor and the Vineyard Church of Toledo. Clif's interests were as broad and diverse as the landscape of his heart. He was as interested in politics and economics as he was in photography, art, painting, travel and matters of faith. As an avid photographer, Clif had a keen eye for capturing the indescribable beauty of God's creation, through nature landscapes, flowers, rivers, mountains and people and animals alike. He was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his grandson in May (Chris and Kelli). Clif was preceded in death by his parents, Robert H. and Evelyn A. (nee Driver); older brother, Steve; and niece, Cindy. An outdoor celebration of Clif's life will be planned for a date when the weather is warmer.
