I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Mr. Cole, but my Mother Gladys Luoto Schutz went to school with him in Painesdale. She has fond memories of him and a friend teasing her, etc. She said he called her a few years ago when he was in the UP and they chatted about old times. You have my deepest sympathy your loss of a very good gentleman

Dean was our excellent principal for many years. He was always kind to students and faculty. He kept order in a calm but firm manner and was always available for a chat if a teacher had an issue to discuss or if a student had an issue for that matter. I was lucky to work with such a man. Sincerely, Sandy Aquino

As a kid at Tappan Jr. High School, when I was having a bad day, I used to go to his office and just sit with him. We shared the same last name and he always told me "Us Coles get back up when we fall down. Now dust yourself off, you can do it." He is one of the most memorable adults in my adolescent years. Thank you, Mr. Cole. ~Laura Cole
