Lenz, James Arthur age 85, of Adrian, MI., peacefully passed away at Provincial House with his family by his side on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. James was born January 10, 1936 in Morenci, MI to Frank R. and Olvie E.(Wieber) Lenz. He graduated from Morenci High School in 1954. James worked as a deputy for the Lenawee County Sheriff Department and as a carpenter for Krieghoff Construction in Adrian before retiring as a millwright from Ford Motor Company. He had a green thumb for gardening and enjoyed family gatherings along with caring for his schnauzers. James is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara (Schultz) Lenz; children Lynne (Rod) Renner of Hudson, Josie (Doug) Kalitta of Saline, Dale (Kathy) Campbell of Stanton, Jeff Lenz of Port Charlotte, FL, Brian (Renee) Lenz of Brighton, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brother-in-laws, Raymond Schultz and Robert Schultz both of Ypsilanti, and Richard (Kathy) Schultz of Bowling Green, OH. James was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Richard Lenz, Kathryn Lenz, Nancy in infancy and sister-in-law Joyce Schultz. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private burial at Canandaigua Cemetery. The family would like to thank Provincial House for their wonderful care and being a family to him during the past two years of his care.

I have fond memories from childhood of Jim’s visits to our farm when we
were all young. He was that big, handsome, larger than life teasing cousin
