Stribe, Katharine 2/22/1931 - 6/28/2020 Ann Arbor Katharine(Kate) Mason Stribe 89 Passed away June 28, 2020 at her home in Ann Arbor, MI In September of 1956 she married Ralph Stribe Jr. who preceded her in death. In their 54 years of marriage Kate and Ralph had many adventures together, whether by plane, pop-up or travel trailer they visited most of the U.S. and parts of Canada. They especially enjoyed their cottage in the Adirondacks where they spent many summers with their children, grandchildren and many friends. Kate attended Westminster College, Seminary School at Princeton and later the University of Michigan where she earned her Masters Degree. She worked as a school teacher with the Saline School District for many years and formed long-lasting relationships with her fellow teachers. Kate spent many special Sundays with friends Irene and Doris. Kate is survived by her brother Leroy Mason children Callie Cross, Andy (Michaela) Stribe. Grandchildren Jonah Evans, Stacy (Jonathan McCray) and Jason Cross, Taryn (Zack) Horton, Sara, Mason and Mallory Stribe. Great Grandchildren Heath Horton and Danni McCray and several Nieces and Nephews. Kate was preceded in death by her Husband Ralph and daughter Kimerly Evans. Brothers and sister in laws Willard and Alberta, Robert and Virginia and Edith Mason. Cremation has taken place and a memorial is planned for July 11, 2020 at 1038 Hasper Dr. Ann Arbor, MI at 11:00 a.m. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Silver Club Memory Loss Programs at the Turner Senior Resource Center.

It was my priviledge to have known Kate. She was a great lady with a kind word for all. An excellent mother and mother-in- law to my daughter and Grandmother to her grandchildren. She will be missed. Rest in peace.
