Franke, Keltia Annette 10/8/1982 - 9/1/2020 Denver, Colorado Keltia (Tia) Franke died peacefully in her sleep on September 1, 2020. She was born October 8, 1982, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, the daughter of Jim Duane and Janet Lee (Reddaway) Franke. Keltia graduated from Huron High School before continuing to obtain a degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan. She was employed as a legal secretary with the law firm, Franklin D. Azar and Associates, P.C. Keltia was a member of the United Church of God and was baptized into God's Family on October 9, 2010. It was especially important to Keltia to be baptized as close to her actual birthdate as possible…she only missed that date by one day! Her love for learning more about God continued, as she enrolled and graduated from Ambassador Bible Center in Milford, Ohio in 2005. Keltia will always be remembered for her love of reading, painting, making pottery, being an excellent cook, anything that had to do with dolphins, being a perpetual prankster but most of all her unique sense of humor and generous heart. She also was an avid crocheter and knitter from blankets to scarves to book covers. Once she knitted her sister a weather blanket that when finished was 7 feet long. When defending its length and without missing a beat she explained the weather kept changing. Survivors include her loving mother, Janet Franke; siblings: Frances (David) Novak, Bret (Ashleigh) Franke, Natasha Franke, and Shawna Franke; a wonderful aunt to many nieces, nephews; loved and appreciated all the time spent with Cadence, Balian and Jax. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Franke, Grandparents: Glen and Helen Reddaway and Josephine and Carl Franke; her niece, Nicole Novak; and her beloved dog Katie. Visitation and the Funeral will be on Sunday, September 20, 2020 starting at 11 a.m., for visitation, and the funeral service at 1 p.m. It will take place at the Heritage Hall, United Church of God an International Association, 9045 Austin Rd., Saline, Michigan 48176. Private Family burial will take place on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti, MI. Rev. 21:4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."

Oh man, my heart is broken. I’m in Acute right now and just found this news out and I’m at a loss for words. I knew Tia from erc and she was always such a light and just had a beautiful personality and soul. My heart goes out to her family and everyone that had the privilege of knowing her. I’m not great with words. I send my love and healing to her family. I’m so sorry.

I was so shocked to hear about Tia. As a close friend of the Kovanis’s, I had the privilege of meeting Tia at a feast when we were just teens. She was stunningly beautiful and yet incredibly humble and sweet. We’ve only seen each other a couple times since then during meet ups with the Kovanis/Novak/Pate clans or church activities and she was always great for conversation and fun to be around. Yet she struggled, more than most. I can’t wait to see her again without the burden of this life on her shoulders. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you!
