Remember Mrs Holtfreter well - both as a youngster in the choir at Zion and then her work with my son with Gamelon. She was a very special lady.

Growing up at St. John's Lutheran in Carnegie, PA. Mrs Holtfreter, was the Children's Choir Director. Dressed in our black and white robes, we sang for parents, for the congregation, for God and FOR HER. My most loved piece she did with us was The Evening Prayer of Hansel and Gretel. I will never forget singing that song. "When at night I go to sleep, 14 angels watch do keep... and it ends 2 to whom is given to guide my steps to Heaven." I know the 2 angels were there for her to guide her on 1/9 and they were singing, too.

Tim, Kathy, Jon and David...we send our love and sympathy. We treasure the memories of your mom and all the family when you lived in the parsonage for St. John's in Carnegie, PA. We were next door neighbors for your time there. Your Dad confirmed both my sister and me and your mom taught me piano. I am so glad we had a visit with her in the summer of 2015 when we were in Ann Arbor. I will never forget her. melissa and ken zaletski

MY sincere condolences for you and your family. It is never easy dealing with a loss of a loved one. I hope you find comfort as I did in John 11: 25 & 26.
