Knight Family. So sorry for your loss. Bobby was a good person who I knew for many years. I remember his days working at Knights Market. Although I hadn't seen him much the past few years I will always remember his booming voice yelling "love ya baby".

I hadn’t seen Bobby in many years after I left Ann Arbor but he is our thoughts and prayers in 1980. I left Ann Arbor for Mexico I spend a good portion of my life there. Bobby you will be missed! Big heart, big voice. He impressed me in high school as a leader to follow. That impression was born out by his life. I will miss the man and cherish the memories. RIP Bobby, you will reap the fields planted by your good life dancing with the spirits in the afterlife.

We are the same age, grew up together all our lives in Ann Arbor and I can safely say he was one of the most well loved, respected & personable “AA Townies” ever! Visiting him at the market, his big white coat on carrying half of a cow on his shoulder was always a joy....smiling, bellowing voice, kind words about everything....I will miss him so much. I saw him at the restaurant 2 weeks ago and he demanded that we get together for a beer....AA truly has lost one of its own, one of its finest! God Bless, Big Guy!

My deepest sympathy to all of Bobby’s family and friends. I remember meeting Bobby when I lived above Zukey Lake Tavern with my husband Chuck, and my 3 children Jeff, Nick and Sarah. Bobby would come to the tavern, and always made it a point to talk with me and the kids before going to the bar. He was always so friendly, warm, and funny. My kids loved as did I. Rest In Peace, Bobby, you are so loved.

Sadly the sun sets too soon on the Golden Knight - yet his memory, his spirit will shine on with all that knew him. So many stories to remember and tell - some that can't be told but are remembered by those who know him. An iconic member of an iconic Ann Arbor family - how do you spell Townie??Knight sounds right!! His voice - like his Dad's - will echo always in the restaurants that his family has made famous - "How ya doin Baby". Bobby we will surely miss you and think of you in the years going forward. May God bless you and keep you close. We consider ourselves blessed and fortunate to have lived in the times you did - if we are lucky we will see you down the road.
