Desbrough, Thomas "Tom" 3/15/1949 - 4/16/2021 Mansfield To say that Tom enjoyed making friends would be an understatement. He was able to connect to those around him through his willingness to help others. He was genuine to those around him (he even bought a lawnmower just to be able to mow his neighbors lawns) and will be greatly missed! Thomas "Tom" Desbrough passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 and was blessed to be surrounded by his family. He was 72. He was born March 15, 1949 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to parents Joseph and Irene (Maltby) Desbrough. Tom was a bit of an outdoorsman. He liked to hunt, fish, camp, and travel. Tom was always tinkering on something in his shed; he always had something he was working on. He loved hosting cookouts and euchre games with family and friends. Tom loved his family, especially his grandchildren. JB's ice cream and Bob Evans were two of his favorite spots to go. Last summer he bought a pontoon boat so he and his family and friends could enjoy time out on the water together. He is survived by children Angela (Dan) Layher, Stefanie (Kevin) Semler and Jennifer (Bryce) Holtorf; step–children Kristine (Keith) Keller and David Clouse; grandchildren Amanda, Brody, Justin, Timothy and Kira; one great-grandchild on the way; sisters Paula (Terry) Fox and Marilyn (Don) Eppler; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Tom was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Desbrough and his parents. His family will receive friends Thursday, April 22, 2021 in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home (81 Mill Road, Bellville, Ohio 44813) from 3-7 pm. A funeral service honoring his life will be held Friday beginning at 11am. Snyder Funeral Homes is honored to serve Tom's family and encourage you to share a memory and watch his tribute video at Snyder Funeral Home 81 Mill Road Bellville, Ohio
