Graveside service for Doris J. Averitte 84, will be Saturday, May 15, at 2 pm at the Forestlawn Gardens and Mausolem with Pastor Marvin Crowe, officiating. Mrs. Averitte passed away on May 9, 2021 at RMC Stringfellow Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Averitte was a member of Peter Rock Pure Holiness Church of God. She retired from Tyson Foods after many years of service. Survivors include her children: Joann Vinson Lancaster, Preston (Keena) Averitte, Melvin T. Averitte, Cedrick Averitte, Millissa (Henry) Jedkins, Alberts (Yolanda) Willis, Fredrick B. Willis, Donna C. Simmons, Timothy L. Crowe; siblings: James (Hattie) Crowe, Howard (Betty) Crowe, Pastor Marvin (Beverly) Crowe, Donald (Rosetta) Crowe, Larry (Teresa) Crowe, Leola Crowe, Shirley (Benjamin) Ware, Gurthie Jackson; 34 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melton and Mannie Crowe, daughter, Linda McRath, siblings, Mary Parker, Louise Faye Brown, George Crowe. Anniston Funeral Service Jeffrey C.
