Mrs. Imogene Heard Owen Cosper was born on December 5, 1926 in Cleburne County, Alabama to Stell Blake and Lanie Frances Morrison Heard. She was a member at Oxford First Baptist Church. She retired from East Alabama Eye Clinic after 30 years of service. She is survived by her daughter, Toni Gay of Wadley; brother, Charles Heard of Decatur, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harold Owen; her second husband, Bobby Cosper; her son, Hal Owen; her brothers, Arthur, Arnton, George, Albert; sisters, Myrtis, Daisy, Ruby, and a son-in-law, Ray Gay. Pallbearers will be Oliver Heard, Bud Heard, Mike Bates, Phillip Heard, Chip Daniel, and Kevin Tolbert. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 12:00 pm in the Toby Miller Chapel at Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Embry officiating. A burial will follow the service at Oxford Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on the same day from 11:00 am until the time of the service.Her family would like to thank OFBC Homebound Ministry and her loving caregivers.Due to the current COVID-19 protocol, all those in attendance will be asked to properly wear a facial covering and advised to social distance.
