I also worked with Al at MHS and totally agree with the choice of words used by Allen Berlin - principled and with conviction. (that's probably why he was the principal of the high school) Al was an effective leader of the teachers' association at a very difficult time when negotiations were become very rough and tense. It is indeed a sad day.

I worked with Al for many years at both Freehold Regional and Marlboro High Schools. I found him to be a highly principled individual who consistently had the courage of his convictions. I always respected him for that. I extend my sincere sympathy to his family at this sad time.
