My deepest condolences to Kathleen, Conrad's children and grandchildren. I only got to "meet" him a few years ago, when he found me on Facebook and explained that we were related. He immediately shared with me information about my family and the father I had lost as a child that I would never have known if it weren't for his kindness.

Conrad was my Grandma Marcella's cousin and I have been so very lucky to have interacted with him. Even for the very short few years that I did.

He made me feel whole and like I wasn't alone in a time I felt lost and confused. He gave me back my family and he told me who I was.

I can only think that, given the time and care he gave to me, barely knowing me, that he must've been an incredible husband, father and grandpa.

Conrad, thank you for your kindness, your intellect, your time and for easing the burden in my heart about a family I believed I'd lost and would never find.

I love you.

Connie was my first and best friend growing up on 17th street in Brooklyn.
I had not seen him again until 2005 when we had a reunion of kids from 17th street. I am saddened by his loss.
My condolences to his family and friends.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire Reitz family. I, like you, will miss him very much. If by some chance I make it to heaven, I will immediately recognize Connie by the back of his head -- after all, I stared at little else sitting behind him during our 3-1/2 years at St. Michael's.

May He Rest In Peace . . .
