Dominick "Danny" Spampanato
AGE: 79 • Ocean Township
Dominick "Danny" Spampanato, 79, of Ocean Township, a much loved family man passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
He was born in Neptune and lived in Asbury Park before moving to Ocean in 1972.
Danny joined the Asbury Park Police Department in 1968 and rose through the ranks to Captain before retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Italian American Association of the Township of Ocean.
He was predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Esther Spampanato.
Danny is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol; 2 children, Salvatore and his wife Diana Spampanato and Juliet and her husband Bobby Vetrano; 3 sisters, Mary and her husband Felix Spano, Rita D'Anthony and Anna and her husband Steve Cosenza; brother, Gavino Spampanto and 4 grandchildren, Ava Spampanato and Nicholas, Bobby and Isabella Vetrano.
Services for Danny are private.
