Norm was one of the most talented and experienced captains on the East Coast. We had the privilege to employ him for many years as the senior Captain on the Golden Eagle. He was well respected in the industry by his peers and when Norm was at the helm there was never a need for concern. We were honored to count both him and his wife Cathy as friends. The July 4th Fireworks trips to NY harbor with the four of us on board remain a fond memory. Our prayers and thoughts are with Cathy as we know just how close she and Norm were. God speed Norm and smooth sailing. You'll be missed but not forgotten.

My first thoughts of you are the long motorcycle rides we used to take. I always loved getting on the back and going nowhere. It felt like freedom. Your wife at that time did not like motorcycles and encouraged me to go with you as you did not want to ride alone. Rest in peace
