Edward T. Ryan, Jr., 62, of Holiday, FL, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at home with his wife by his side.
He was born in Orange, NJ and, as a young man, lived in Bloomfield and Howell, NJ before moving to Florida in 1971.
Eddie worked in construction and had a gifted pair of hands but his true passion was cooking. He was a pizza cook at Anthony Pizza in New Port Richey. He learned the art of pizza making at his cousin Patty's pizzeria called The Starlite Pizzeria in West Orange, NJ. His last cooking position was at The Eagles #3153 New Port Richey where he was a member. Wife, Deborah, is a past president of the Eagles.
He is predeceased by parents, Edward and Norma Ryan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah (Dauphin) Ryan; brother, Timothy E. (Denise) Ryan of Toms River, NJ; sisters, Mary Ryan of Seaside Park, NJ and Alice (Gerard) Santangelo of Bricktown, NJ. He is also survived by mother-in-law, Rose Mackinnon; and father-in-law, Grover Dauphin; brothers and sisters in laws and nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Dobies Funeral Home, 6616 Congress Street, New Port Richey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 10AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Holiday. Burial to follow at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gulfside Regional Hospice or Pasco County Special Olympics.
Funeral arranged by his brother, Timothy E. Ryan, owner of the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, Toms River.
