Bernadette (Dee) Bornheimer
Bolder, CO - Bernadette (Dee) Bornheimer, 83, of Boulder, Colorado, passed away on December 23, 2017.
Bernadette was born and raised in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School and attended Douglas College. Bernadette married her high school sweetheart, James W. Bornheimer on June 16, 1953. After starting a family, they moved to East Brunswick, NJ. Along with their 6 children, they were active participants in the community, St. Bartholomew's Church, and politics.
Bernadette worked as an Administrative Assistant for NJ State Patrol Board for 20 years. During the 1980's she received her certification for teaching aerobics. Her favorite things to do were spending time with her family, living a healthy lifestyle, working out, and socializing with her friends. She was actively involved in many charities and organizations. After retirement, she moved to Barnegat, NJ and loved being near the NJ shore. She enjoyed long walks on the boardwalk, fun times at the beach with her 8 grandchildren, traveling, and lots of shopping (she was a fashionista at heart). Bernadette loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Predeceased by her husband James W. Bornheimer (1993), Bernadette is survived by her 6 children: son James Bornheimer and wife Lori their children Meghan and husband Dane their child Hadley, and Rebecca and her boyfriend Matt, daughter Patricia Blauth and husband Fred their children Fred, Trevor and Nicholas, daughter Judith Clark and husband Bruce their children Shannon and wife Emily and Caitlin, daughter Marybeth Murphy and her daughter Erin Bernadette, daughter Christine Bornheimer and her husband Brian Hughes, and son Larry Bornheimer and his girlfriend Lisa and her son Bailey, her sister Patricia Sedlazek and husband Martin and their children Walter, Lisa and Susan, and other relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life Mass service will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Saturday, January 13th, 10:00am, at 580 Ratzer Road, Wayne, New Jersey 07470. Rev. Msgr. Daniel Kelly will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN.
