AGE: 82 • Brick
Francis Peter Diehl age 82 of Brick Township passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017. He was born and raised in Jersey City, before moving to Brick 48 years ago. Peter honorably served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, retiring at the rank of Chief Petty Officer. After retiring from the service, he worked for the Brick Twp. Municipal Utilities Authority for 18 years. Peter was a quiet, reserved man who enjoyed the Atlantic City Casinos, flea marketing and was a collector of many things. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Phyllis and his two daughters, Meredith Corbett and her husband, Douglas of Island Heights and Melissa and her husband, Michael Cozens of Toms River. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Kelsey and Chase Corbett.
Family and Friends may call on Monday, January 16, 2017, from 1-5 PM at Colonial Funeral Home 2170 Hwy. 88 Brick, NJ. A funeral service will also be held on Monday, 4:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment is private.
