Celishia and I couldn't be more saddened to learn of this news and at the same time couldn't feel more joy for knowing her and George and the great, great family they have together. You mentioned her singing...Celishia and I remember her comment at George's roast. The MC asked for her comments as to what life was like with George. in a very comical way, she belted out a high note with lots of vibrato. It was very funny and brought the house down. Celishia and I will always remember her warmth and friendship.

First, my condolences to all in Gretchen's family. I read Gretchen's obituary and everything that was written about her was true.

I knew Gretchen & George way back in the early days of their marriage and mine. We all had a boat docked at the old King's Grant Inn.

Gretchen was always welcoming, smiling and FUN.

I remember coming back from a little cruise and on our dock was a package - Gretchen had bought us a wedding gift, as we were a little more "newly married" than she & George.

They were a great couple, wonderful people You were all blessed to be around her.

Respectfully,

Arlene Crowe from "The North Star"

George & Gretchen on "The Bagpiper" - are you a Sea Turtle?
