Harvey Paradise
Ocean Twp.
Harvey Paradise, of Ocean Township, passed away March 25, 2017.
Born in New York City, he later moved to, and raised his family in, West Orange, NJ, before moving to Jackson, NJ and later to Ocean Township, NJ.
Harvey was a WWII veteran who served in active duty as part of the U.S. Coast Guard. He later earned his undergraduate degree in business from New York University, before embarking upon a professional career primarily in sales.
Harvey is survived by his wonderful wife of 65 years, Francine, his three adoring children, Jill and her husband Leon, Richard and his wife Karen, Ronnie and her husband Dan, his four proud grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Susan and Robin and his "adopted" family of Viktorija and Ernesta.
He was the ultimate fighter and consummate "good guy", who enjoyed his life and family immensely. He was a role model for optimism, loving spirit and embracing the moments as they came. Those moments were filled with simple family activities and vacations, boardwalk strolls, watching professional sports (particularly the Yankees), the occasional sun worshipping, enjoying his pets and eating to his stomach's content. He left his mark with all those he came in contact with and, as a result, the world is a far better place.
