James V. Baldanza, age 83 of Eatontown, died Monday, January 16, 2017 at Imperial Healthcare in Neptune. James was born and raised in Long Branch and was a route driver for the family business, Baldanza Bakery, for 27 years retiring in 1995. He enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with his family. He had a passion for good food and loved eating out. James was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church of Christ the King Parish in Long Branch
He was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Anna, in 1984 and his brother Salvatore "Sam" in 1990. Surviving are his brother, Peter Baldanza of Fla.; his sister, Marcheta Faris of Oregon; nephews, Joe Baldanza and his wife Kim of Oakhurst; Gary Baldanza and his wife Carolyn of Sumerduck, VA; Stephen, Jimmy, and Eric Faris, of Oregon; nieces, Samantha Hvidding and her husband Dan of Toms River; Jodie Baldanza of Sebastian, Fla., and Maria Nelson of Vero Beach, Fla. and many loving great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20 from 4-8 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. (corner of Third Ave.,) in Long Branch. Funeral, Saturday; 9:30 am from the funeral home with the service to begin at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, West Long Branch.
