Janet was a warm woman with sharp insight and savvy, combined with kindness. In another era, she would have become president of that bank--not just its first female vice president. She was a great support to me when I first moved to Red Bank and good to all those around her. She also reached out to communities beyond herself to try to make a better world.

My family and I fondly remember Janet (and her sister Mildred) and will be forever grateful for her support, friendship and kindness toward my great Aunt who also lived at the Nevasink House (Atrium). We very much enjoyed the time we spent with her on our family trips to Red Bank and missed those times when my Aunt passed away.

Janet was loved by many people of all ages and all walks of life as she always had a kind word for everyone. She believed in strong communities and was an avid supporter of the Community YMCA where she was recognized several times for her contributions of time and money. She became a Y Board Member Emeritus in 2002. She will be greatly missed by her friends and her many cousins who loved her.
