Kenneth J. Gibney, 70 of Wall passed away Tuesday April 4 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune with his family by his side. Kenny was born and raised in Bayonne, NJ and graduated from Bayonne High School. After his graduation Kenny enlisted in the United States Air Force and was a Viet Nam veteran serving 4 years. After his service to our country Kenny had lived in Bayonne, NJ and Minot, ND before moving to the Jersey Shore area in 1990. Kenny was a 25 year member of the Boilermaker's Local 28, Bayonne. He was a member of the Manasquan VFW, Manasquan Elks, Jersey Shore Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh. Kenny was an avid fisherman, loved caring for his grandchildren, enjoyed playing basketball when he was younger and enjoyed spending time at the beach.
Kenny was predeceased by his parents Edward and Agnes Gibney and the mother of his children Kathy Walker. He is survived by his children Kelly Dadian, Matthew Gibney both of Minot, ND, Kristen Mason of Wall and Jennifer Cinelli and her husband Frank of Belmar. Kenny is also survived by a sister Patricia Bulvid of Toms River, NJ, a brother Robert Gibney and his wife Betsy of Lincroft, NJ; eleven grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday April 6, 2017 from 3-7 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736. A funeral liturgywill be held 10:30 am Friday April 7, 2017 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 6 Osborn Avenue Manasquan. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Manasquan VFW Post 1838, 30 Ridge Avenue Manasquan, NJ 08736.
