A member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Somerset. Former member of Antioch Christian Church, New Brunswick and St. James AME Church, East Millstone. A member of the Senior Ministry at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, Somerset. Predeceased by husband, Joseph W. Jenkins, 3 children, Joseph R. Jenkins, Patricia Jenkins-Cruz and Kevin E., Jenkins, Sr., and 4 siblings, Elizabeth Thompson, Anna Mae Daniels, Sylvester and William Thompson. Surviving are 2 children, Valarie Jenkins Lewis and Dennis Jenkins, of Somerset, 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 4 sisters, Dolores Gardner of New Brunswick, Doris Long of Atlanta, GA, Mary Ruffin of Stanhope, NJ and Ruthann Brunson of Petersburg, VA and 1 brother, Charles Thompson of Somerset, nieces, nephews and cousins. Viewing is from 9-11am, Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Emanuel Baptist Church, 145 Warren St. Somerset, NJ. Funeral Service will follow at 11am. Arrangements by Anderson Funeral Service, New Brunswick.
