Lois Blair Jenkins

AGE: 77 • Manasquan

Lois Blair Jenkins, 77, of Manasquan passed away peacefully on February 18th. Lois was born in Belleville, NJ before moving to Manasquan in the early 1950's where she continued to live happily among her friends and family. She spent many summer days at Manasquan's Pompano Beach with her boys David and Sam. She especially enjoyed spending time with her father, fishing and boating along the Jersey Shore. This love for the water would later turn into a career.

Her grandchildren loved visiting the shop and her grandson, Michael, spent many of his young summers working alongside his grandmother LoLo. Lois Also worked for the County of Monmouth for many years before retiring in 2000. Lois loved adventure and travel, with visiting destinations all over the world, Key West, Florida was one of her favorites. Lois always enjoyed taking trips to New York City to see Broadway shows. Her granddaughter Samantha, who lived in Florida at that time, would always look forward to visiting New Jersey to see a show with her grandmother and cousin Sara.

Family was always very important to Lois. She took great pride in her family and enjoyed being together with her many cousins and grandchildren. She held a Christmas morning celebration at her house every year so the family could be together. She was predeceased by her parents Sam and Dorothy Blair and Son David Jenkins. She is survived by her son Sam and his wife Kay Jenkins, Manasquan, daughter-in-law Debbie Jenkins, Bricktown. She is also survived by her grandchildren Michael, Sara, Samantha, and Brooke Jenkins, her many cousins, and cat, Bebe, who has a new home with her granddaughter Brooke. Lois was one of a kind. I worked for her at Jims for a few summers in my late teens and we formed a friendship that would last a lifetime. My condolences to the family.
