Louie Argenio, 86, of Holiday Heights, Berkeley Twp., NJ passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Community Medical Center, Toms River.
A lifelong resident of Hackensack, NJ, he moved to Berkeley Twp. 23 years.
Louie worked for the Bergen Record in Hackensack, NJ for 40 years, retiring in 1991.
He was a long time member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Hackensack, NJ and the church's Vestry.
Louie also coached for the Hackensack Little League and served as Treasurer of the Holiday Heights Golf League.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy (nee Botzko), five children Louis Argenio of Chandler, AZ, Deborah Argenio of Toms River, Michael Argenio and his wife Lisa of Ramsey, NJ, Nancy Green of Haines City, FL and Raymond Argenio and his wife Ava of Morris Plains, NJ, a brother Alfonso Argenio of St. Johnsbury, VT, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday 2-7pm with a funeral service to be offered at 2:15pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Louie can be made to the Holiday Heights First Aid Squad or a charity of your choice.

Am so sorry, Dot. Am praying that you have the strength to get through the difficult dayas ahead.
Just realized Lou was 86 - same age as Hank whenhe died. Also, Lou did just a couple months before you 65th, anniversary, as ith the case for Hank and me.
I will keep in touch.
