Mary E. Gratzel
Toms River - Mary E. Gratzel (Daurio), 96, of Toms River died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Green Acres Manor in Toms River. Mary was born in Teaneck and lived there until moving with her family to Toms River in 1972
Mary's family and friends were enriched by her unconditional love, compassion and unending support. From Anna Street to Mulberry Place to wave riding at the beach and beyond, Mary provided her children and grandchildren carefree and unforgettable childhoods. Her faith and strong moral compass set a lasting example for those who knew her. Truly ahead of her time and with nary a complaint she transitioned from the Depression, to WWII, the turbulent Sixty's and on. Never skipping a beat, she taught enduring lessons to many and created a legacy along the way. We all had a great ride in the warmth of her love and caring.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Paul in December, 2017 and is survived by her children; Paul F. (Arlene) of Toms River, Gregory of Garberville, CA., Nancy of Pine Beach, Joseph (Denise) of Manasquan and Toni of Pine Beach; fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Paul & Arlene, Greg, Nancy, Toni, Joe & Denise & Families, Heaven just became a lot more joyful, as your beloved Mother takes her place. Once she greets everyone with her smiles & hugs, she will take her place on the dance floor with your dear Dad. You were certainly blessed to have such loving parents and the example set by their Faith & Marriage. We were blessed to have them as our Aunt & Uncle who attended as many weddings & parties & events as possible over the years. We always enjoyed being in their company. May you all find Comfort & Peace in the days ahead as we will keep you in our thoughts & prayers. With Love & Sympathy, Jack & Dolores Augustine
