Mary Lee Melina, age 84, of Louisburg, NC, formerly of Long Branch, died peacefully on November 10, 2016 at University of North Carolina Health Care in Chapel Hill, NC. Born in Enfield, NC, she had lived in Long Branch before moving to North Carolina. Lee was a register nurse working for Dr. Ciampa and Dr. Sahar both in Long Branch. She was a member and Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Long Branch Elks Lodge 742 and also a member and Past President of Ladies Auxiliary of the Long Branch Fire Department.
Lee was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Melina on September 18, 2016, and her parents, William and Maggie Willey. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, William and Alison Melina of Zebulon, NC and 2 granddaughters and their husbands, Lauren and Kristopher Hinnant and Casey and William Wiley.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 5-8 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.) in Long Branch. Funeral Tuesday, 9:30 am here at the funeral home with the service to begin at 10 am. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elks Lodge 742 Children's Fund, PO Box 3147, Long Branch, NJ 07740. Letters of condolences may be sent through the web at www.damianofuneralhome.com.

My sincere condolences on the Death of your Mom. I was very shocked to hear. Also on the death of your Father I just learned through your Moms obituary that he died in September. We are thinking of you at this time and Pray God grants you peace and comfort that only he can provide.
