Millie was my tennis buddy, as was Tony. It was with sincere concern that I learned of her illness several years ago when she was in Florida. The last time I saw Millie she told me of her bike rides, her simple pleasure, and said she had trouble gaining weight but was in no pain. She was not a complainer, but rather a brave, amazing and kind woman. She was thinner, but still visiting the gym. Being ill is not for sissies, and my friend, Millie Simonetti was no sissy. She faced her struggles with a realistic strength. She left her mark. She was beloved.

I am still having a problem dealing with this sad news. Millie and I have enjoyed playing golf and also tennis with each other both in Barnegat and in Florida over the years. To say that I will miss her dearly is an understatement. May she rest in peace.
