Patrick "Pat' Petretta, Sr.

Middletown - Patrick "Pat" John Petretta, Sr. age 74 passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017 peacefully surrounded by his family.

Patrick was born June 19, 1943 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He grew up in Belleville and graduated from Seton Hall University with a degree in Special Education. Pat spent more than 40 years in the school districts; touching the lives of many students and colleagues. He was passionate about teaching and coaching in every capacity, especially soccer. He loved cooking, gardening, sports, and most of all, spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Pat is survived by his wife Sandra , his daughter Kimberly and her husband Adam, his son Patrick and his wife Dana, his daughter Kristen and her husband Joe, and his grandchildren Joseph, Kyla, Logan, Patrick and Jack.

A celebration of life service will be held for family and close friends. Memorials may be made to Kindred At Home 242 Old New Brunswick Rd., Suite 140, Piscataway, NJ 08854

Mr. P. Always was there to help me guide me and be a father or friend know one could ever take Mr. Ps place then or now.

I will never ever forget you. I give my heartfelt condolences and sincere regret. I'll never forget you Patrick J. Petretta. Your family I will never forget. Thank you for helping me get through school 9 th grade to 12th. Without you I never would of made it.
God please help Mr. Petretta's family ease there suffering. R. I. P you made me a better person and smarter, thank you for teaching me to play chess. Your sorely missed.

It was my privilege to work with Pat at CCMCO in the summer of '91 and again several years ago. I was always amazed at how he could reach some of the students with his tough-love and how they adored "Mr. P".
