Dr. Margaret Parker
Red Bank - Dr. Margaret "Tid" Bowles Parker EdD, wife of Dr. James "Moose" Alvin Parker, both long time Red Bank residents, died peacefully in her home in Blaine, Tenn. on December 23, 2017.
Dr. Parker was a teacher in both the Red Bank public schools, and Brookdale Community College. She was also a Corporate Diversity Consultant for AT&T. She was a founding member of the Monmouth Shore Smart Set, a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, and the first president of the Red Bank NAACP.
Dr. Parker is survived by four of her five children, as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Dr. James Alvin Parker, and her daughter Ceil Parker. A memorial service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Lincroft, NJ on March 31st, 2018 at 11:00am.
