Sylvia P. DeFalco
Brick - Sylvia P DeFalco, 89, of Manchester, died Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Willow Springs Nursing Home, Brick. Born in Passaic, she resided in Clifton for 30 years before moving to Manchester in 1987 and most recently of Brick. She worked as an administrator for Hoffman-LaRoche Pharmaceutical in Nutley for 20 years before retiring in 1987. She was active in the Bocce Ball, Italian-American, Tennis and Bowling Clubs in Leisure Village West. She is predeceased by her husband Nicholas in 2015. Surviving are her sons, Gary of Rahway and Bryan of Brick, daughter, Joan Bertagno and husband Foster of Barnegat, 6 grandchildren, Andrew, David, Jesse, Dylan, Cheyenne and Bryan, and 2 great grandchildren, Ryan and Audrey. Visitation is Wednesday 4-8 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Thursday 10 AM at St. John's Church, Lakehurst with interment to follow at Brigadier Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veteran's Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, 370 7th Ave., New York, NY 10001.
