Gone way too soon. Scott was always the smartest guy in the room, not in some SAT Essay question smart, more in people smart, Emotional Intelligence smart. Summer's approaching and it's hard to think about LBI without Scott being there, keeping a balance, observing life and providing the right commentary. I've been gone from LBI a long time and every year, I mean to get back, tried a few times but never seems to work out. Life works the way that it will, so tell the people that you love that they are important, we may be busy, but to quote James Taylor, " I always thought that I'd see you again."

I was fortunate to be friends with Scott for over 35 years. Sometimes we wouldn't see each other for 3-6 months at a time, but it was always like old times every time we got together . Scott was a truly unique and special person. He had a "can do " attitude that I always admired. Like the time he flew to see a game at Lambeau field then rented a car and caught a Notre Dame game with his niece who was attending college there( all in the same day). The only thing he loved more than sports and travelling was LBI. Scott had a few amazing quirks. going to the "V" (VFW) after the season ended by bike in shorts and flip flops all the way until Thanksgiving no matter how cold it got. When I asked him why he said " that's what you do " and he would hit you with that smile that reminded you of your own youth. The world is full of people with no character and morals. Anybody who knew Scott knew he was a refreshing break from that trend. He loved his family and his country. Rest in peace Scott

I will always remember my time hanging out with Scott in Long Beach Isand at the Hudson House or Kubels Too. His memory was razor sharp and he always had great stories to tell whether it was about his travels to Scotland or tales of the local Jersey shore natives. He will be greatly missed.
