The Garwood Presbyterian Church wishes to give our condolences. We are thankful for the ecumenical services that he helped to pioneer and are looking forward to meeting him again in heaven. May Jesus comfort his family and our prayer is that they all follow the Lord all the days of their lives so that one day, they will see him again and fulfill God's will for their lives while here on earth. Blessings, Pastor Tracy Galloway - Garwood Presbyterian Church www.garwoodchurch.org

Grew up in Garwood and attended St. Paul's while Pastor Szabo ministered there. He was like a member of our family. I have very fond memories of St. Paul's and of our soft spoken Pastor Szabo. He was a wonderful man and will be missed by many. My condolences to Mrs. Szabo, Stephen, and David. - Robin (Gill) French

Rev. Szabo was such a nice guy. I met him when I was a kid and they were building the church he gave sermons in.( St Paul's in Garwood, NJ.) He said you are welcome to come to our services every Sunday. So I started going, and he eventually baptized both of my children many years later. He was very caring and would talk with me whenever I had problems I couldn't resolve., and offer his advice. There is a special place in heaven for him and I look forward to seeing him again one day. RIP !

I am just so honored and thankful to have known Pastor, as he gave me the foundation in Christ that I hold so dear today. He was a rock, a pillar in the community, a mentor and a humble man of God. We are so sorry for your loss! Be comforted to know without doubt, that he is well and whole and experiencing joy with the Lord!
