John Earl Redmond, 84 years of age, of Yuba City, CA born April 3rd, 1932 in Charleston, SC, passed away peacefully on January, 2nd, 2017 in Lincoln, CA. He was a resident of Yuba City for 42 years.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1949 through 1973, which included serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired from the Air Force after 24 years of service and then received a second retirement from the civilian government after eleven years of service.
He is survived by his loving, devoted, and dedicated wife Brenda Pamela Redmond of Yuba City, CA, His son Rodney Earl Redmond and daughter-in-law Sandy Redmond of Yuba City, CA, His son Steven John Redmond and daughter-in-law Regina Corpuz Redmond, and granddaughter Paige Sigur Redmond of Long Beach, CA, His son Kevin Paul Redmond, daughter-in-law Audrey Redmond, and grandchildren Connor Redmond, Courtney Redmond, and Madison Redmond of San Jose, CA, His brother Harry Alan Redmond and sister-in-law Sandra Redmond of Cambria, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Audie and Hazel Redmond, brother Audie Redmond, and sisters Frances Carlson and Helen Gennaro.
The family has decided to honor his request and thus no public funeral service will be held. The immediate family will go to a special private retreat for a simple celebration of life. The family finds peace and comfort knowing he is now in a much better place after many years of suffering and battling continued health challenges.
