Alice Jesse
Sioux Falls - Alice Jesse, 78 died Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the Dougherty Hospice House after a long hard fight with complications from diabetes. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Benton Lutheran Church, rural Crooks with burial at St. Christina Cemetery, Parker. Visitation with family present will be from 5-7pm Wednesday evening at Heritage Funeral Home, Sioux Falls with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home.
Alice Hotchkiss was born on Nov 23, 1939 at Humboldt to Edwin and Ruth (Schrader) Hotchkiss. She attended Clear Lake District #67 and was a member of Free Methodist Church. On April 19, 1968 she married the love of her life Stephen Jesse at Montrose.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Steve of 50 years; sisters Donna Steele and Ona (Dick) Lineback, Sioux Falls and Grace (Gary) Lukes, Parker; a sister in law Mildred Hotchkiss, Humboldt; and many, many nieces and nephews whom she had taken care of throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Herman, and sisters Mary Paulson, Darlene Carsrud, Betty Warren, Beverly Wheelhouse, and Eva Hotchkiss.
