Very sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. I worked for him in the late 80's at the SF stockyards and later played fastpitch softball on his team The Keglers. He was a great man and he will be missed

Dear Rose, Brett and John, We offer our sympathy in the loss of a very personable and likeable man. Bernie was a unique spirit. Our son Trevor Anema called tonight saying he saw this news on FB. He had fond memories of Bernie as his coach years ago. He also appreciated his kindness and your boys since we were new to Sioux Falls then. He wanted me to express his sadness in your loss. Vern and I also pray for God's Grace for you and your family as you grieve the loss of a loving husband, father and grandfather to your family. Rose, I also know Mar always appreciated keeping up with you and had told me earlier of Bernies cancer and she felt badly for you. I will be in touch to make sure she hears of your loss.
Love, in Christ, Vern and Shar Anema S.F. and Trevor Anema Nashville, Tn.
