I was sorry to read of Harry's death, and send my sympathy. My husband, Vic was his flight instructor, and they remained friends through the years. In 1987, when Vic was terminally ill, you and Harry flew to Lubbock,Texas to spend a little time with him, and he was so happy to see you both. We appreciated it so much.

I "heard" about Harry for many years. I finally met him at my Dad's funeral in 2005. I had inadvertently talked with him on the phone several times when he would call my Dad. After Dad died , Harry even called me once or twice to say Hi to me. I will never forget his condolences for my Dad and the respect they had for each other. I wish I would have been there when they swapped "war" stories of aviation. They both loved airplanes. My Dad would always comment on his phone calls from Harry and looked forward to his visits. Dad was proud to tell me that when he passed, Harry assured him that he would fly his body where we wanted it to go. He was a great friend and co-worker to my Dad and I am sure they are visiting right now and sharing their love of airplanes. Patty Block daughter of Leonard N. Block

You will be greatly missed, thanks for your help in getting me into aviation. I'll never forget the day you soloed me, stopped the plane right on the runway and got out. Had me do 3 takeoofs and landing. And then told me "don't forget to pick me up". This all took place in Sioux Falls, a controlled airport. Thanks again Harry. Andrew ClausonAirline Pilot

I remember him well. He took me up once years ago to see if I'd like to start flying. Alas, the cost was too high for me at the time. Harry was a man of impeccable intelligence and skill. I wish I'd got to know him better. Heaven will have a pilot for the ages.
