My cousin, John, loved life and lived it well. I will always remember the memory of him driving my daughter and her husband away from the church on their wedding day, in the Purple Super Bee. Even though he was sick then he wanted to do it. John even laid a little rubber in the church driveway as they sped away. He was so fun! I am proud he will be laid to rest as the hero he is at the Black Hills National Cemetery. Prayers and love to you all, Sally

Sonja, Jason and Heather, We are thinking of you. Memories come to mind. We had a lot of fun when we were kids at the farm with Trixie and the other animals and sometimes swimming at Drake Springs. Over the years I appreciated John's help and advice on getting a "new" car. John hired dad (Howard) to drive cars when he worked at Billions. Dad like doing that in his retirement. We were all so proud of John's military service. Oh so many things come to mind. When the going got tough you never complained and faced each challenge with grace and dignity. I will never forget you.
Love, Nancy Lynch Dilks

Sonja, Sorry for your lost, Your husband was a hell of a man. I flew a lot with John, when we were in Vietnam. I really enjoyed all the talks we had, I didn't lose a friend , I lost a brother. Sonja if you ever need anything Call me , I'll try to help you anyway I can.

Dear Sonja and Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember hearing stories about John as I was growing up. One vivid memory is when John and Sonja came to Grandma Nan's to let her test drive a car. John and Sonja also drove Ben and I away on our wedding in their purple Super Bee. That was such a special moment on our wedding day and really put the icing on the cake. It's a memory we will forever have of John and Sonja. With our love and deepest sympathy as we remember John. Our prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
